Delhi Police and Shikhar NGO join hands together for Swatchta Hi Sewa Campaign

South-East Delhi – Delhi Police along with Shikhar NGO launched an enlightening campaign named Swatchta Hi Sewa. The purpose of the campaign is to create awareness of the necessity of the nationwide launched cleanliness drive. reflect the importance and contribution every citizen needs to make in order to have a cleaner and greener city. The campaign starts from  17 September to 2nd October 2018.

For the past many years the capital city of New Delhi has witnessed rising levels of pollution making it one of the most polluted cities in the world. In order to bring awareness at the ground level Delhi Police and active NGO’s like Shikhar work on regular basis education school children and citizens.

 

 

Launched on 17th September, the Swatchta Hi Sewa Campaign began with a drawing and painting competition organized for school children. Budding artists with enthusiastic participation conveyed a beautiful and powerful message from their creativity. Enthusiastic coordinators and senior members of the Delhi police encouraged and appreciated the participation of the children. The stationery for the competition was arranged by the organizers. The competition concluded with a refreshment session.

Mr. Azam Khan said that Delhi police launches events all around the year in order to bridge the gap between community and law enforcement. He also said that the thana aims to empower vulnerable sections of the society especially women and children so that they can seek police aid anytime without fear.
