India wins bronze medal of Hockey World League (HWL) 2017 by defeating Germany with a score of 2-1. The match for the third position was held at Kalinga Stadium on Sunday. After a defeat with Olympic champion, Argentina, India left no stone untouched to claim the third position of the Hockey World Cup.

S.V Sunil and Harmanpreet Singh were the stars of the match who scored their goals for the country. The battle for India was tough to achieve the bronze position at it had lost in a prior pool levels of the tournament to Germany by 0-2.

The next tournament to eye for India after the Hockey World Cup 2017 is the Common Wealth Games that would be held in Gold Coast, Australia. The Common Wealth Games is scheduled to take place from 4th-15th April of 2018 where, Sjoerd Marijne would guide his men for the victory of the Indian Hockey Team in the Common Wealth Games.
